Anita Görbicz retires from the national team
After Hungary’s defeat against the 1/8 finals of the IHF Women’s Handball World Championship against France (26-29), the captain of Hungary, Anita Görbicz announced that this was her last big international tournament with the national team. The 34-year-old playmaker has played in the Hungarian national team for 15 years – in this period, she played 232 matches and scored 1111 goals. She won a world championship silver (2003), a world championship bronze (2005) and two EHF EURO bronze medals (2004, 2012).
