Surprise, surprise… Slovenia, Bosnia and Austria to Qatar 2015

Slovenia defeated Hungary! Nothing surprising there, but the Slovenian team went on a half time break with deficit of three goals in the second lag, and already had minus three after the first lag. Miraculously, without the heart of the team Uros Zorman they managed to shock Nagy, Iles, Mikler and their teammates. In the end, Hungary will have to hope for better luck in the qualification groups for the European Championship 2016, which will also be their last ticket for Olympic Games handball tournament. Until then Slovenia will celebrate their comeback to the elite handball.

When it comes to Bosnia and Herzegovina, it all comes to their great desire to finally go to big event. This is the first time in Bosnian history to participate on a World Championship tournament.

The duel between Austria and Norway offered the most suspense. Both teams had equal chances, but after the first lag nobody expected Austria to give such a performance and to defend their minimal lead from the first game. Norway will yet again miss big handball event, and would have to concentrate on European championship qualification stage. On the other hand Austria deservedly celebrated their 5th participation on World Championship.
